Want to buy an awesome car…. give me negotiating tips!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Found a MB E-430 2000 with only 100,000 miles. initial price is only $ 8900. The beautiful car, clean and drives like new. KBB trade in price is $ 10,000. What are some tips to carry $ 7,900 or even possible, given that it is so low? Someone told me I could write a check for $ 7900 and say that’s all what they can afford and that could work. Is this true?

I’m looking to buy a gently used (under 50K miles) car. Any tips in negotiating a fair price?

I am particularly interested in the Nissan Maxima and Sentra or Honda Civic or Accord.

What do I say to a guy interested in buying my car…?

I’ve had about 10 people came to see my car and at least seven of them have asked me what my lowest price is. . . this seems like a very poor negotiating tactic and every time it has happened, I responded, asking them to do just one offer. Then just walk away muttering something about “I have to think about it …” Any advice? Thanks!

Who to talk to at the car dealership when buying a car..?

I heard that they do not speak with a certain person because he receives a percentage of the sale, but when you talk to other sellers who will give you a better deal. How many people can talk to you, to negotiate the price of the car?

How do you negotiate when buying a NEW CAR?????/?

Shopping for a used car… Any tips?

I am going to go to a car dealership that sells certified used Hondas and Toyotas. I have $2000.00 to put as a down payment and I am shooting for a car that is about $12000.00 but I’m fairly flexible. I have never purchased a car on my own and my credit is young/kind of iffy. A few things:

1) Will I be taken seriously when trying to finance a vehicle if my credit isn’t that great but I have a down-payment of $2000.00 and a decent job (I make about $1800.00 a month and have low expenses)?

2) What sorts of cars should I look for, ie what years, mileage, models?

3) What questions should I ask?

4) What is insurance like for a 21 y.o. female with a fairly brief driving history, iffy credit, and a later model (I’m thinking 2003 and newer?) car?

Looking for more ways of negotiating buying a new car.?

Especially with luxury cars like Acura, which are harder to get below or at invoice or near invoice price? And also getting the best price when there is only one dealer in your area and the near dealer are at least 75 miles away. So I don’t have lots of competition in the area to make the dealers get a lower price. I’m interested in the 2006 Acura TL. Are there any sites where you can get some information for free or you have to pay for the best possible ways? Please leave an email and I thank you for your answers and help.

Concession from a dealer when buying used car. Negotiating tips?

I am looking at a 2007 new car with 9,000 miles on it that was used as a rental for the dealership. A track car, they say.

List price was $21,999. I inquired seriously about it and asked about wiggle room, and the salesperson said, “we can let it go for $20,500.”

How should I regard this? Would it be outrageous to counter with something lower than his last offer? If so, how much lower. On edmunds, they have trade-in value at $17,500, private party at $19,000, and retail at $20,500. Would it be ridiculous to counter with $17,500 (probably what they paid) and target $19,000 as a final sale price (which would be perfect for us). Or would they find such an offer insulting.
